Quotations and Citations in Your Writing

In this video, David talks about adding quotations from an authority (scholars) to reinforce an opinion or a position which adds credibility and depth to give your writing.  Even though he is talking about quotations for a direct quote and citing the source, applying an indirect quote also reinforces your position. An indirect quote is not written word for word, yet is paraphrased and thus does eliminate the use of quotation marks and an ending page number. Both add credibility and depth to your writing. Both will require that you reference your source.
